If snagged in reef area, you have more than 80% chance of retrieving your anchor by taking the slack off your rope and driving the boat gently forward over the anchor, which allows the shackle to slide back and pull the anchor out as it went in. (Do not apply excessive force)
Please Note: To enhanced the release performance of the Supercat anchor, the manufacture suggest packing of the shackle pin with s/steel washers on both side. This will eliminate side movement on the shackle and allows smooth and easy retrieval.
It fits into most bow rollers and sprit.
You'll have to try it to believe it
PS:
Always use the Rule of thumb for rope
requirement. (Three times the depth where you drop your anchor)
